Ocelot: (Leopardus Pardalis)
Twice the size of a domestic cat, the Ocelot is a sleek animal, largely nocturnal, able to swim well and equipped with keen sight and hearing to hunt rodents, reptiles, small mammals and fish.
Once common in southern states of North America, Central and South America, and Mexico the Ocelot has been targeted by hunters for it’s fine distinctive fur, and is now rare and endangered in many areas.
"I have always been passionate about wild cats and dismayed to see their ever declining numbers. Having loaned the name of a lesser known species for our company name, I made a commitment to help with their preservation and conservation. A percentage of our profits will be donated to charities and scientific studies involved in projects of this nature."
